‘Inversions of Preservation’ acts as as a representation of the damaging single use materials consumed day-to-day, presented within the natural environments they plague. By re-fashioning the plastics and single use materials consumed by my household over a twelve-week period into British plants and seaweeds, I have created a metaphor for the replacement of our eco-systems with plastic. Ensuring sustainability is at the heart of my project, I have utilised the cyanotype process as my camera, a sustainable and eco-friendly photogram process that captures the silhouette of my plastic plants.
